Using traditional and experimental techniques, I dye mesmerizing patterns on clothing which emulate the cycles, rhythms, and vibrations we constantly experience inside and outside of our bodies. All of the pieces I make are inherently one of a kind due to the natural variation of the hand dyeing process.
Intentional and meaningful adornment of the body motivate me to create this clothing and work in small batches. I strive to create unique pieces that connect with people and can be truly valued, and this desire for meaning extends to my choices of materials for my work.
Revitalizing discarded or overlooked clothing and using natural dyes are environmentally sustainable choices I am currently committed to implementing in my creative practice. These conscious decisions along with continuing to be a self-motivated student of fibers and surface design compel me to generate and share this work.
